beer.js

Around the world, JS geeks love to gather, drink, and occasionally code. beer.js is a place for you to announce and coordinate such events in your area and while you are abroad. Also, if there is a conference, expect a beer.js event OR create one!.

If you want to announce or sponsor a beer.js event, contact our team.

beer.js wishes some day to be dojo.beer.

NodeSummit SF beer.js 1/23 8:00PM

We'll be recording the first ever NodeUp Live episode the evening before NodeSummit. Join us for the live recorded event and stay for epic Beer.js action afterward. We are meeting at 8:00PM at the Bottom of the Hill right outside of UCSF Mission Bay. It's not a party until someone gets Mikeal drunk. Known attendees include the normally East Coast bound @voodootikigod along with a couple Bear Dear merit badges and plentiful JS logo stickers - you will want to be there.

Northern Virginia/DC November Beer.js

Sorry for the last minute notice, but if you are in the Washington DC area, you need to head over to Galaxy Hut this evening for the #beerjs event. Epic craft beer selection AND corn dogs easily beats anything else you might have going on. Oh and lots of JS talk. The meetup is sponsored by our friends at it.com so at least a couple of rounds will be covered. You have nothing to lose, everything to gain, so we will see you there, some of us will be there starting at 6:00pm! Ping @voodootikigod if you want to know if we are still there when you are heading over.

SoCal Beer.js Tomorrow Thursday, August 18, 2011, 6:30 PM

Hi everyone, my name is Brandon Goldman and I'm the new organizer of the Socal.js meetup group. Derek relocated to the bay area for a new opportunity within Yahoo working on the YUI team. To give you a quick intro on who I am, I'm VP of Engineering at a local funded startup, Miso Media ( http://www.misomedia.com), and one of the projects I'm working on is a rich web-based guitar tablature editor written in Javascript.

Around the world, Javascript geeks love to gather, drink, and occasionally code. I'd like to have a Beer.js happy hour for our meetup this month. Sorry for the short notice, but if there's enough interest then I think this could be good.

The event will be held at Wokcano in Santa Monica. They have a pretty good happy hour menu for drinks and food, and their full menu is also quite good.

The event will start at 6:30pm, the happy hour menu is good until 8:30pm, and people will probably stick around later. Feel free to come any time!

The reservation is under "Socal.js" so when you arrive at Wokcano, just ask for "Socal.js" and they'll take you to our table.

Beer.js in Berlin, 18th August 2011

Hi there,

things have been very busy with that JavaScript extravaganza that's
awaiting us at the end of September / beginning of October.
With the upcoming Reject.js and the JSConf.eu Berlin will be the world
JavaScript capitol again.

In short: We're very much excited and can't wait to see all of you at
these events.

Because of this we figured that this August should be in the light of
a relaxed evening with your fellow JavaScript nerds and some cool
beers.

So here it is again: Beer.js - August Edition. This time we'll meet on
Thursday, 18th August, 8pm at the Prater Biergarten [1]. Most of you
should remember
that place from the Github Drinkup/Beer.js back in May. Some of you
might have a hard time remembering it ;-)

All details can be found our site [2] and while you're surfing away be
sure to say that you're attending on the Lanyrd event page [3]

See you tomorrow!

First Beer.js in Munich!

Beer.js events are informal events for the JavaScript community, without an agenda but with short lightning talks.

Meet us on Monday at the Niederlassung Bar in the heart of Munich. There is a fine selection of beers and the biggest variety of gins in Munich.

This time instead of two planned talks we open the stage for spontaneous lightning talks. Talk about anything as long as it is JavaScript related with a maximum length of 15min including questions.

Drop by to meet JavaScript programmers and to listen, to ask, to discuss. And bring your laptop with you to show us your fancy JavaScript project.

Please register early, we need the number of guests!

RailsConf beer.js - Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Voltron

It wouldn't be proper for there to be a RailsConf with out a guerrilla beer.js event would it? Last year, you had to "inspect" a website to find details - this year its a bit easier. We are merging forces with the octocat and bringing you THE GITHUB BEER.JS EXTRAVAGANZA. That is right, it is a power combo that even Voltron would wet himself over - the world will never be the same. Be sure to find @voodootikigod to prove your merit and possibly earn your beer.js quest badge. Where you might as will this insanity, this craziness, this wild time start?!!?!? How do I join the forces of good? We will start at 8:30PM at Pratt Street Ale House, where we will end -- no one knows! If you need details, ask us at @beerjs.

Beer.js in Berlin, May 2011

Hi there,

we've already had a really great beer.js in March and we're returning
to this tradition this May.

Beer.js events are informal events for the JavaScript community,
without an agenda, just nice chats with JavaScript geeks and beer,
hence the name.

We'll met on Tuesday, 17th May 2011 around 20:00 (8pm) at the Homes
Bar which is very easy to reach with the U1 to Schlesisches Tor
followed by a short walk down the Schlesische Straße.

There is also the Apache Dinner right around the corner, so expect to
meet some of the nice folks of the Apache project during the evening.

Beer.js in Berlin, March 2011

Beer and JavaScript go hand in hand and there is a great tradition of  Beer.js events in the history of the JavaScript community.

Beer.js is a informal event for the javascript community, much like the user group with a bit more focus on beer. So everyone enthusiastic about javascript is encouraged to drop by, have some interesting conversations and, of course, beer.

There is no agenda, just a nice evening with your fellow javascript crowd.

We'll meet on monday, 28th March, 20:00 o'clock at the Aufsturz [1] which is central and easy to reach for everyone. And they have a fine selection of beer. And, if you're hungry, there are enough places around it to find something to eat.

If you plan to come, please say so on Lanyrd (http://lanyrd.com/2011/beerjs-berlin-march/) so we can order the table accordingly.
